De Poel is a pumping station on the Waterlandse Zeedijk south of the North Holland town of Monnickendam and located at De Poel, a former mill pond.
The pumping station De Poel is situated at a former mill pond, where five mills used to stand, which took care of the drainage of the area. Around 1880, the work of these mills was taken over by a steam pumping station, which was located further west at De Poel, near the connection between the Ooster Ee and De Poel.
