The Sint Dionysiuskerkje (popularly called 'Rozenkerkje') dates from the 11th century. It's a hall church, early Romanesque. The church stands on a headland, formerly excellent in the river Maas. The tower is built in brick, the rest of the church in field boulders. The presence of Roman building material in the walls suggests that there was a stone building in the vicinity in Roman times. After the abrasive effect of the Meuse had collapsed the Romanesque tower on the west side, the current late Gothic brick tower was built on the east side in the 16th century.
