Woudenberg-Scherpenzeel station was located on the Kesteren - Amersfoort railway. At the same time as this line opened on 18 February 1886, the station was completed for passenger and freight transport.
The station was located exactly on the border of the municipalities of Woudenberg and Scherpenzeel, but therefore far from the centers of both residences. The station was located in 2 provinces, Utrecht and Gelderland. A goods shed had been built on the south side of the level crossing. More sheds followed later. In 1922 the yard was changed in connection with the construction of double track between Amersfoort and Woudenberg-Scherpenzeel.
