The Waver is a small river in the Dutch province of North Holland, which flows into the Amstel. The river forms the southern and eastern boundary of the municipality of Ouder-Amstel and the northwestern boundary of De Ronde Venen. It also forms the border between the provinces of North Holland and Utrecht. Beyond Stokkelaarsbrug, the Waver is called the Oude Waver. The hamlet of Waver is located on the right bank of the Waver. For traffic, there are three bridges: the Stokkelaarsbrug, Waverbrug, and at Fort Waver-Amstel, the Jac.G. Keabrug.
