Behind the printing house in the monastery village lies a hilly garden with long winding paths through dense shrubbery. Ornithologists have counted more than 60 bird species in the trees that were planted here over a century ago. At the highest point of the garden stands a white statue of Christ; a copy of the one in Montmartre in Paris. A gazebo and a Lourdes grotto give the gardens a soothing charm, complete with a small pond featuring a delightful fountain.
