Description

The Stadsbrug in Kampen connects the monumental quay on the city side with the station square on the other side. Several bridges have been located on site, the current bridge was opened in 1998. The starting point of the municipality of Kampen was a bridge design with a contemporary shape, which, however, had to take into account the protected, monumental cityscape of the historic city center. The lifting towers refer to the towers in the city center, the balance wheels are gilded.
