Fortmond is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is located in the middle of the Duursche Waarden nature development area in a bend of the IJssel between Deventer and Zwolle. At a very high water level of the river, Fortmond, which lies outside the winter dike in the floodplain, is inaccessible by road. In such a case, the municipality provides a boat connection.
