The origins of Huis Neerijnen lie in the 14th century. The house of today was built around 1600, on the foundations of the old House of Klingelenburg. It was extensively renovated in the 18th century and was extended with an extension late in the 19th century.
In 1974 the house came into the possession of stichting Het Geldersch Landschap. It was then bought by the municipality of Neerijnen and, after a restoration, put into use as a town hall.
