The artwork FOOTPRINT by Harald Vlugt is the second artwork that has been realized as part of the art project Halvezolenlijn. The unveiling of the artwork took place on 13 July 2016. In the flat landscape of the countryside of Raamsdonk, the artwork FOOTPRINT can be viewed from all directions. Two times two shoe soles together form a gate with the Halvezolenpad as a passage. The shoe soles refer to the shoe and leather industry that used to be found in the Langstraat region, including in Raamsdonk. If you look closely, you can recognize the steam locomotive that used to run on the railway line in the soles. The Slagen landscape, which is so typical of this region, can also be distinguished in the design. The artwork is made of corten steel that refers to the rails of the former railway line.
