Description

In Etten-Leur, on the Rijsbergseweg near Rijsbergen, there is a monument, a needle made of stone, that commemorates the first flight over the Netherlands in 1909. The monument was unveiled in 1935.
A new plaque was installed in 1984 and an additional information board in 2003.
For motorists, the municipality of Etten-Leur recently had two parking spaces built at the needle.
