Fort Pinssen was a 17th-century fort that was part of the West Brabant water line, the interconnected series of forts, trenches and inundation areas between Bergen op Zoom and Steenbergen.
The fort was built in 1628 between fort De Roovere and fort Moermont with the aim of closing a gap in the inundation plain around Halsteren. In 1816 the fort was decommissioned and over time overgrown, although it is still recognizable from the air.
The fort is not accessible, the dry canals and the fort can still be seen from the road.
