Description

In the early morning of 26 May 1944, 14 men were taken to this area by the Grüne Polizei.
They were shot as hostages and their bodies were buried in a pit. It is an act of revenge by the occupying forces for a failed attempt on a Tilburg police officer.
In the past, many attempts were made to find the mass grave. It never succeeded, not even after large-scale deployment with defence equipment.
