Stroe is a village in the municipality of Barneveld, in the Dutch province of Gelderland. The village has, including the surrounding area, 1500 inhabitants (2004).
The village is located on the railway line Amersfoort-Apeldoorn, near the A1, on the border of the Veluwe and the Gelderse Vallei. Between 1881 and 1937, Stroe had a train station. The hamlet of Garderbroek, located southwest of the village, also belongs to Stroe.
In Stroe, there is the village house De Hofstee. Furthermore, there is a garage and a pancake house in Stroe, among other establishments.
Stroe is likely one of the oldest settlements in the Netherlands.
