Called the tower of the City Hall of Neptune, Roman God of the Sea. It all started in the fourteenth century when a room was built where this building is today, then the old town hall located next to Dikke Toren was replaced. But it was not until the middle of the sixteenth century that it was decided to expand the building. The octagonal tower in the Renaissance style was erected with the statue of Neptune at the head. At that time, with the new construction of this building, luxury weddings appeared. Although it seems a simple building, it is rich in decorative arts although without excess. Today there is the Municipal Museum which tells the story of the city of Zierikzee.
