The Hartel Canal is a canal in the Europoort. The canal connects the Oude Maas with the Hartelhaven in the area of the deep-water port Maasvlakte. The canal is 24 kilometers long and is classified with class VIc. It was built between 1962 and 1973.
The Hartelkanaal is mainly used by pusher shipping, which transports ores and coal for the German steel industry. Transshipment companies there are the Europees Massagoed Overslagbedrijf and the Ertsoverslagbedrijf Europoort.
