The estate on the Delftse Schie in Overschie has around 20 national monuments. The current main building dates from 1939, but the estate originated from a medieval manor around 1485, which has notably been in the hands of Johan van Oldenbarneveldt. Johan van der Hoeven later merged the estate with the seigniorial rights of the lordship of Tempel in Rodenrijs. In 1946, the estate came into the hands of the municipality of Rotterdam. The estate has since been used as a conference center. Later, a department of the Delta Psychiatric Center was established there. Since 2021, the park management has been in the hands of the Nature Monuments Association. All garden statues are being restored and returned. In the historical museum Oud Overschie, an exhibition dedicated to this has taken place in 2022. The buildings themselves are still owned by the municipality of Rotterdam and are being rented out pending final plans.
