In summer, there is absolute silence at the young livestock farm of the Den Hartogh family. The stables are empty, as all the young cattle are happily outside. However, you don’t have to worry about not seeing any animals during your stay. Around the farm, you can see some chickens, sheep, cats, young cattle, or a cow. From your hayloft cabin, you have a clear view over the Cattenbroekseplas. The lake is available for recreation such as swimming, fishing, canoeing, or surfing. Within walking distance of the hayloft cabins, there is a recreational beach.
The city center of Woerden already offers plenty of opportunities to entertain yourself for a day. Especially on Saturdays, the regional market adds extra cheer. City center of Woerden, Woerden City Museum, the Cheese Warehouse Museum, Polder Sports at Boerinn, Windmill the Windhound, and the Witches' Scale of Oudewater. And Utrecht, with its canals and wharf cellars, is only 15 km away from this farm.
