De Krakeling is a nature reserve on the east side of Zeist, north of the N224 in the direction of Woudenberg. DeKrakeling is located near the Cossack Well, the White Hull and the Zeisterbos. In addition to young, mixed forest, De Krakeling consists largely of heather. This heath is home to plant species such as curvy smele, heather matchsticks, woodland strawberry and creeping and prickly broom. But there are also woodlarks, heather blues and reptiles such as hazel worms and sand lizards.
