The church was built in the 15th century as a Roman Catholic church building, dedicated to Our Lady and Saint Anthony. At the end of the 16th century it became a Reformed church.
It is a brick single-nave church with an attached tower, which is equipped with a tent roof. The substructure of the tower and part of the north wall of the nave are made of tuff and may have been built in 12th century, as remains of a Romanesque predecessor. The south wall of the nave was renewed in 1922. The 15th-century choir is closed off on three sides.
