Jah-Jireh is a private initiative and not part of the Christian congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the Netherlands, nor affiliated with other initiatives in the field of residential care outside its own locations in Rotterdam, Wageningen, and Heerlen.
The current building dates back to 1972 and was taken into use as a residential and care complex for 130 Indo and Moluccan elderly people. The complex was named Dennenrust.
The complex is included in the cycling route 'Indonesian tracks in Wageningen', a publication of the Historical Association Old Wageningen.
