Duurswoude is a former village in the municipality of Opsterland, in the province of Friesland. In 1974, Duurswoude was merged with the slightly more westerly located village of Wijnjeterp. The twin village has since been known by the portmanteau name Wijnjewoude.
The village of Duurswoude was a road village that already had a church in 1250, on the site where a new church was built in the 15th century. In 1505, Duurswold was mentioned as Bakkeffeen alias Dyoertswolt, in 1543 as Duyrswold, in 1573 as Duersswolde, and in 1664 as Duyrswolde.
