Dierdonk is a Vinex district on the northeast side of Helmond. The hamlet of Kruisschot also belongs to the Dierdonk district.The construction of this district started in 1993. The layout of the district is spacious and green and with a village character. The houses are built in a neoversion of the architectural styles from the 30s of the 20th century. The district is set up in three theme parts, Laanwonen, Waterwonen and Boswonen. With the expansion on the site of the former riding school, the district was completed in 2009. In 2017, the residential area had 5,050 inhabitants. South of Dierdonk are the Bakel forests and the Rijpelberg district, to the west the diversion of the Zuid-Willemsvaart and north of the district begins the territory of the municipality of Gemert-Bakel.
