Crazy name, Baanakkerspark? That calls for an explanation. The name comes from Baanakkerspad. This path existed before the park was created. The path may have once led all the way to the northern nature reserve De Baanakkers in the Wormer- and Jisperveld, now a Natura 2000 area.
