The Smaldonk is the area between Schijndel and the nature reserve Wijboschbroek. It is a beautiful walking area with frog ponds, willows, hedges, and wood banks. Around the small grasslands stand pollard willows. In the meadows managed by Staatsbosbeheer, Lakenvelders graze. Plant species such as the Margriet and the True Cuckoo flower are found abundantly here. The area is rich in amphibians.
