It is Sunday afternoon, September 17, 1944. In just under three quarters of an hour, more than 4,500 paratroopers land here. Farm de Paulushoef is an ideal reference point for the pilots: the name is written in large letters on the roof. Not long after the paratroopers, another 53 gliders with equipment and troops also land here.
