The Hill Country through the eyes of an artist
Join us in the inspiring world of Sjef Hutschemakers. This artist, nature lover and amateur archaeologist saw the treasures that the Heuvelland had to offer and he felt its value like no other. Put on artist's glasses for a while and you will experience the rolling hills, the idyllic villages and the authentic farm life in Eijsden-Margraten in a new way!

The cycle route runs along the junctions. The brochure 'Het Heuvelland through the eyes of an artist' tells about the special environment and the works of art that Sjef Hutschemakers made about it at 19 locations along the route. The brochure also contains QR codes that refer to videos about Sjef and his working method, and that can be opened with a smartphone. The brochure is available at the Visit Zuid-Limburg Shops and Service Points.

In addition to the cycling route, there is also a 10-kilometer walking route to get acquainted with Sjef's ideas and work. You can find that route here. 

Start and end point: Julianaweg Sint Geertruid (junction 72). Here you can also easily park nearby.
