South Limburg

This route is plotted in the loess landscape of South Limburg. The route runs alternately over plateaus and through stream and river valleys. The edges of the plateaus are formed by steep slopes, which are often wooded. Through these hillside forests run narrow and winding roads that connect valley and plateau.
The landscape shows traces of the limestone subsoil. The white-beige limestone is diurnal in the steep edges of the valleys and in the quarries.
The tour starts and ends at the parking lot at the railway station in Valkenburg.
Note: For riding on narrow and winding roads in hilly terrain, some degree of driving skills is required, especially since many cyclists share the 'mountain roads' with you.
