Offroad Valdres Southwest Extreme

This is the original track laid out in the southwest of Valdres. Route Southwest Valdres Offroad. This route features the heavy section in Tisleidalen/Breiset after 118 km. This track consists of many unpaved roads.

This is a rough piece over the plateau at 1022 meters. We are riding above the tree line here. The road contains many rocks and also water sections. You need to cross a stream here with rocks as the ground. Only for experienced off-road riders and/or multiple riders!! Cows are also roaming around here, so you need to pay attention.

I have also made this off-road track extra winding, and you can feel it. The first few kilometers are paved, then we start climbing on unpaved roads. We will definitely be riding unpaved for the first 50 km. After descending the first ridge, we arrive at the Begna river. Later, you will see that all the water is connected and leads to or branches off from the Begna. A short section of paved road to cross, then we ride for kilometers over the unpaved Sameigevegen. This is beautiful again, various streams and lakes cross our path. All this water is related to Begna, as it later turns out. Diversity in nature is the motto again. The route is also full of hairpin bends, both unpaved and paved. Is it annoying when paved? No, certainly not with these bends, and with an off-road motorcycle, you can take them flat. The CRF has plenty of power, and in this configuration with the power-exhaust, it easily conquers the steep slopes and bends. After Sameigevegen, we ride to Gol, and I have also discovered special roads there. The nature is beautiful, and pay attention to the special yellow/white mosses. These grow in various places in Norway, and here I have found them. You can find them at a connected section of 3 lakes along Lomtjernanvegen. After Gol, there are more hairpin bends, and we climb very steeply on unpaved roads between Valdresvegen and Ovrevegen (Fv221). A little bit of paved road, and then left onto the unpaved Golsfjellvegen, which is another toll road leading to the beautiful Tisleifjorden. There we find a coffee house, recreation, and a hydropower plant, definitely worth a visit. After that, the vegetation changes for the umpteenth time on this route, and we ride unpaved through a beautiful area. After some fast off-road roads, you will also encounter a rougher path with potholes, rocks, and puddles. Then back to some gravel and we turn towards the plateau of Tisleidalen. After this section, there are bits of asphalt and again a lot of unpaved road. Along the way, we climb several mountains and pass by beautiful water sections and rivers before we can rest at the campsite.
