Alu Bari Camp 2 is located at 3915m altitude.
There is a lower camp at 3716m where camping is more common. There is a stable here, but little space. The terrain is sloping. There are no amenities.
The site is on the route from Marpha to Dhaulagiri Base Camp 1 and is normally used as the first camp for this trek. It is also on the way back from the Phampus Peak/Thapa Peak climb, but most climb Marpha at once.
