Vale de Estrela is a municipality of the district and district of Guarda in Portugal, which also includes the expansion of Albardeiros. Vale de Estrela is located in the Serra da Estrela and borders the Serra da Estrela Natural Park.
Until 1928, Vale de Estrela was called Porcas. This toponym indicates the existence of Vale de Estrelas at the time of the Reconquista. Prehistoric and early historical finds are not known, although the place name has been associated with dolmens.
