The Chapel of Our Lady of Guia is a small chapel in the centre of Guimarães, next to the city wall and close to the Alberto Sampaio Museum.
It was built by the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Consolation and Holy Stairs in 1727 as a devotion to the Passion of Christ.
Next to the chapel, the Seven Stairs of the Passion of Christ were also built. Today, only one remains in its original place, next to the chapel, to the left of the entrance.
The chapel is usually open, but is protected by a small gate that prevents access to the interior.
