The Romanesque aqueduct is the second longest in the country .
The Spanish version of National Geographic magazine considered it the third most beautiful aqueduct in the world . It was designed in 1626 to supply the Monastery of Santa Clara with water and was completed in 1714. It is said that it originally had 999 arches and a length of about 7 kilometers.
