AzureBased on hike no. 12 of the Rother hiking guide Southern Sweden. Easy loop walk from the ferry port to the south spire of the island and back. You get a ticket of the island when paying for the ferry. Marked walk yellow to follow.
During the summer season, ferries between Granna and Visingsö run every half hour. Reservations are only recommended if you go by car. It is better to leave your car in the parking lot of the port of Granna.
Especially the first part of the walk, which takes us along the coastline to the southern part of the island, is fantastically beautiful. The return takes place over low-traffic streets or forest paths through rolling fields and forest.
Both in Granna and at the ferry port in Visingsö there are many opportunities for a snack and drink, not on the way. Our favorite was the Trädgärdscafe in Visingsö.
