The movie Ocean's 11 starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia,.. takes place in Las Vegas. It is based on an older movie starring 'The Rat Pack' with Frank Sinatra, Dean martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Joey Bishop and Peter Lawford. The 'Rat Pack' was hanging out in the 'Sands' casino, which was the location where The Venetian-casino was built. For the opening of the Venetian, the owner Sheldon Adelson got Sophia Loren to the Venetian. He also got the mayor of Venice there, but he wasn't very pleased with the 'copy' of his city.
