This is where the Colegio de Santa Rosa de Lima stood. The school was for girls and had up to 500 students , who studied up to the baccalaureate level. The building was built in the 18th century.
Although it is a building from previous centuries, the facade dates from 1912 . The decoration of the facade is historicist (neo-Gothic), as can be seen from the arches and lacework. On one side , on a pedestal, stands Saint Dominic of Guzmán , a symbol of the Dominican order.
It currently houses municipal offices, the most important of which is the Municipal Archives , the oldest and most comprehensive in the field of historical documents in the Canary Islands.
