¿Sabías que hay un vínculo entre la iglesia de San Miguel y Michelangelo? Esta iglesia barroca de Lovaina fue construida según el modelo de "Il Gesù" en Roma. Michelangelo comenzó a diseñar esta iglesia en un nuevo estilo arquitectónico, pero falleció antes de terminarla. Luego, su aprendiz Giacomo Barozzi da Vignola (1507-1573) continuó con el proyecto. Él también fue quien inició la construcción real. La fachada romana parece un inmenso altar (ver foto).
