Wist je dat er een link is tussen de Sint-Michielskerk en Micehlangelo! Deze Leuvense barokkerk is gebouwd naar het model van "Il Gesu" in Rome. Michelangelo begon met het ontwerpen van deze kerk in een nieuwe bouwstijl, maar hij overleed voordat hij hiermee klaar was. Daarop ging zijn leerling Giacomo Barozzi da Vignola (1507-1573) ermee verder. Hij was ook degene die begon met de feitelijke bouw. De Romeinse voorgevel lijkt op een immens altaar (zie foto).
