La Rue des Bouchers, cantada por Johan Verminnen, se había convertido en los últimos años en una trampa para turistas a la que era mejor no ir, y mucho menos para comer. La Ciudad de Bruselas actuó con rigor en 2018. Ya estaba prohibido atraer a las personas con atractivas ofertas de comidas. Ahora también debían desaparecer las terrazas y los toldos característicos para garantizar la seguridad contra incendios. Un camión de bomberos debe poder pasar por la calle, dijeron los servicios de la ciudad. Resultado: un tercio de los restaurantes cerró. Poco a poco, la calle vuelve a cobrar vida, con atención a la diversidad de tiendas.
