Chokier es una aldea en la provincia belga de Lieja, que pertenece a la parroquia de Flémalle-Haute en el municipio de Flémalle. Fue un municipio independiente hasta el 26 de marzo de 1969, cuando pasó a formar parte de Flémalle Haute. Chokier se encuentra en la orilla izquierda del Mosa. Chokier formaba parte de la señoría de Awirs desde tiempos antiguos, pero en el siglo XII fue vendida por los señores de Awirs a la Abadía de Aywières, una abadía cisterciense, y se convirtió en una señoría separada. La Abadía poseía hasta 1796 la Ferme d'Othet, que explotaba alrededor de cien hectáreas. La señoría de Chokier perteneció sucesivamente a las familias De Hozémont, Surlet y Berio. A partir de finales del siglo XVI, se empezó a extraer alumbre.
