El muelle de Blankenberge fue construido en 1933 según un diseño de Jules Soete. Está hecho de hormigón y se extiende 350 metros en el mar del Norte. El muelle de Blankenberge fue el primero en la costa atlántica del continente europeo y desde entonces solo ha tenido la compañía de Scheveningen.
Fue un londinense, John Hendrey, quien en 1873 presentó una primera propuesta a la ciudad de Blankenberge para construir un muelle frente a la Kerkstraat. El ayuntamiento se negó porque la ubicación central amenazaba con dividir la localidad de veraneo. También se rechazaron propuestas de 1881 y 1883.
