Has llegado al borde del área de educación ambiental, el Spei. En 1988, los niños de la escuela de Oudenaarde plantaron aquí un bosque de frondosas mixtas. En los años siguientes, el servicio medioambiental urbano también se hizo cargo de las parcelas adyacentes. Pequeños elementos paisajísticos, como filas de árboles de corte, setos, setos de corte, árboles frutales de tronco alto y charcas de anfibios, ahora configuran el paisaje. La pradera se corta solo dos veces al año para dar a la fauna y flora todas las oportunidades.
