En el cementerio urbano en el centro de Veurne hay una fosa común francesa. Aquí yacen enterrados unos 80 soldados franceses. En este cementerio también encontrarás un área de honor francesa con aproximadamente 150 tumbas. Entre las cruces francesas también se encuentran 8 lápidas árabes. Aquí también puedes encontrar la tumba de Karel Cogge. Desempeñó un papel crucial en la inundación de la llanura de IJzer en 1914.
