La Korhaan es, desde la protección en 1959, una de las zonas protegidas más antiguas del
Paisaje De Liereman. El área alberga una serie de tesoros históricos y un
sitio arqueológico. En la alternancia de dunas de tierra y pantanos, el
hombre prehistórico se sentía en casa. Se han encontrado varios objetos como hachas de mano, puntas de lanza,
raspadores, ... También se han excavado túmulos de la Edad del Bronce.
