La iglesia está casi completamente construida en gótico de Henao, a excepción de la torre románica del siglo XI. Esta está coronada con un reloj. La iglesia se encuentra en medio de un cementerio amurallado, frente a la antigua parroquia. El portal está revestido con antiguas lápidas funerarias.
El interior incluye dos capillas paralelas y bóvedas de ladrillo que descansan sobre arcos cruzados. El coro destaca por su revestimiento de madera. Además, se puede ver el púlpito (siglo XVIII), estatuas de San Martín, Sebastián y Elías, un banco de comunión al estilo Luis XV, el antiguo baptisterio y el órgano protegido de Pieter Van Peteghem (1772). Las confesiones están decoradas con tallas en madera. Un hermoso calvario en la pared izquierda dentro de la iglesia data de 1570.
