De niño, Koenraad Tinel estaba literalmente sobre los escombros de Europa. Con su familia vivió la locura de la Segunda Guerra Mundial en carne propia. Más de sesenta años después, realizó una impresionante serie de dibujos a tinta, bocetos y esculturas alrededor del conocido mito de la creación de Europa. Con sus propias manos, realizó una monumental escultura de acero de ocho por nueve metros, orgullosa y cautivadora. Al contar y representar hoy el antiguo relato del rapto de la hija del rey Europa con fervor y pasión, el artista transforma sus trágicos recuerdos de guerra en un poderoso gesto artístico universal.
