Ostend Sailing fue fundada en 1987 como una organización sin ánimo de lucro con el objetivo de promover activamente los deportes acuáticos y las embarcaciones de recreo , especialmente la navegación en catamarán .
Allí puede impartir formación , organizar competiciones de vela y lancha motora y organizar todo tipo de eventos náuticos. La asociación también desea promover los contactos sociales entre sus miembros.
El club dispone de un espacio en el faro de Ostende que sirve de parking náutico y también alberga la sala del club con todas las comodidades (bar, ducha, trastero...).
