Sobre la puerta principal de la Capilla de los Condes vemos un ángel esculpido en relieve. Este relieve fue diseñado por Gustaaf Delafontaine. Bajo la capilla se encuentra una cripta, que sirve como lugar de descanso final de Rogier de Kerchove de Denterghem († 1918) y su esposa Cécile de Borchgrave d'Altena († 1926). El ángel sostiene en ambas manos un escudo de armas. La paloma con una rama de olivo es el símbolo de la familia de Kerchove de Denterghem. Los dos salmones son el símbolo de la familia de Borchgrave d’Altena. Abajo, en una cinta, leemos el lema de la familia de Kerckhove de Denterghem "ENDURER POUR DURER".
