Sopra la porta d'ingresso della Cappella dei Conti vediamo un angelo scolpito in basso rilievo. Questo rilievo è stato progettato da Gustaaf Delafontaine. Sotto la cappella si trova una cripta, che funge da ultima dimora di Rogier de Kerchove de Denterghem († 1918) e sua moglie Cécile de Borchgrave d'Altena († 1926). L'angelo tiene in entrambe le mani uno scudo araldico. La colomba con ramoscello d'ulivo è il simbolo della famiglia de Kerchove de Denterghem. I due salmone sono il simbolo della famiglia de Borchgrave d'Altena. In basso, su un nastro, leggiamo il motto della famiglia de Kerckhove de Denterghem "ENDURER POUR DURER".
