En esta parte del camino parece que se ha pavimentado. Pero son los bancos de arenisca que salen a la superficie aquí. El camino se corta literalmente en esos bancos de arenisca, pero como son bastante resistentes, forman pequeños escalones. Esos bancos de arenisca son una piedra natural local que se forma en las capas de arena de la arenisca Busseliana o Formación de Bruselas. Esa capa de arena se depositó aquí en un mar poco profundo en el tercio.
