En unos años, Het Laar recibirá su renovación. Los planes para la reurbanización de la superficie de hormigón han estado sobre la mesa durante años y también han sido rechazados en varias ocasiones. Pero ahora el distrito de Borgerhout le asigna un presupuesto y una fecha. En 2024 comienzan las obras para una nueva plaza con más zonas verdes.
